Latest updates

It’s hard to say which news was more stunning as Batwoman Season 1closed the drapes, Ruby Rose, who played the lead role of Kate Kane, had departed from the show, or that Batwoman’s producers had decided to replace Kate Kane with a new Batwoman rather than recast Rose’s role.

In both the scenarios, fans were on the edge of their seats for a while to learn how Kate Kane would be scripted off the show, Batwoman Season 2 in its premiere and what circumstances would lead to a homeless woman named Ryan Wilder to roll under the mantle of the Crimson Knight.

“What Happened To Kate Kane?” tackled both concerns head-on, with Ryan as Kate’s friends, family and enemies looking out for some sign of her.

By the end of the episode, Kate’s body remained recovered and an unprompted plane crash in the trope. A despondent Alice made her way back to her being under the wraps in the sewers of Gotham City.

A paper airplane made from a folded piece of the newspaper came to her sight which when unfolded, read “CONSIDER US EVEN – SAFIYAH” in blood, on a crumbled front page of the Gotham City Gazette issue detailing Kate’s disappearance.
