The Magician Season 5 Updates: A fantasy television series based on the Syfy channel is actually an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Lev Grossman.
Created by Sera Gamble, John McNamara who also takes upon the production team as two of the executive producers, it first was broadcasted on Dec 16, 2015, for 13 episodes and has been ordered for four consecutive installments since then with the fifth and the ultimate follow-up running from Jan 15 to April 1, 2020.
Upon receiving positive reviews, Netflix has picked up its global streaming rights for a more substantial viewership although the last season has yet to slip into the giant.

Quentin Coldwater enrolls at Brakebills University for Magical Pedagogy to pursue graduation in the occult practices that have fascinated him since youth, where he discovers that the magical world from his favorite childhood books is real and in fact, is a threat to humanity.
Meanwhile, the life of his childhood friend Julia is derailed as she is disapproved of entry, and his other adult friends living upstate struggles with a meltdown befalling their institution.

The drama boasts of an ensemble cast of Jason Ralph in the lead role as Quentin Coldwater, Stella Maeve as Julia Wicker, his childhood friend, Olivia Taylor Dudley as Alice Quinn, the gifted magician, Hale Appleman as Elliot Waugh, a senior at the University and Arjun Gupta, Summer Bishil, Rick Worthy, Jade Tailor, Brittany Curran, Trevor Einhorn and Charles Shaughnessy, Hannah Levien along with many actors in recurring plum roles.
When is the final season dated to hit Netflix?
Though to the end of December, there hasn’t been any revelation as to whether the season would make it Netflix, let alone the premiere date.
The schedule for the fifth season kept in line with past seasons—For the past four years, the first episode of the latest season of The Magicians aired in January and the final episode aired in April
However Netflix flagship the show on Dec 26, 2016, with the subsequent seasons rolling into every December, so chiming into that it should have been streaming by now or we might hope it possibly arrive this month at the earliest.
