Sanditon Season 2: Fans want Netflix’s Sanditon, after the success of Bridgerton

Published by

Sanditon Season 2 Updates: A somewhat different type of Austen adaptation is Sanditon. Andrew Davies had the ability to extend the original story beyond Austen’s original storyline since it is based on her last, unfinished book.

In theory, that means it would have been possible to have season two, but now, it’s unknown whether a second chapter would be given to the costume drama.

Release date and Renewal Status:

So, fans of Sanditon were excited to hear about the new Netflix series called Bridgerton. It is a creation of Shonda Rhimes full of brightly colored ball gowns, salacious scandals, and engrossing romance.

As lovers of period romance flocked to the streaming platform to watch all eight episodes, Bridgerton was virtually an immediate hit, leading it to skyrocket to the top of Netflix’s regular top 10 charts, and remain there.

For Netflix to remember, Bridgerton’s achievement should be something: period drama fans are vast in number (almost shockingly so), and they are extremely devoted fans.

This can be attested to by someone who is at the Sanditon Fandom. Now that this lesson has been learned first hand by Netflix, there is something that logically stops them from giving Sanditon its much-deserved season 2.

Now What?

Amazon Prime once gave fans of Sanditon hope with some mysterious, but exciting tweets that they were considering picking up the show for season 2. For Netflix to poach the series would be a great decision.

Not only will it probably take a boon from its rival who hasn’t officially passed on the show, according to the makers of Sanditon, but it would just be good business.

Let’s make sure Netflix hears the case of the fan as to why they should tweet, retweet this post, request the show on their request form, and always use the ever-important Save Sanditon to add Sanditon to their line-up of 2021 productions.

Budget for the Sanditon Season 2

Netflix pours cash into their creations, producing quality hit films and shows that you can watch on your TV in the living room easily. For evidence, just take a look at their original sci-fi material.

With the need for elaborate costumes, period-correct props, and sometimes a need for sets that at least look like huge British estates, period dramas can be costly.

Netflix wouldn’t break a sweat for Sanditon to create a budget. Not only are they an extremely profitable business, but Bridgerton, which has all the same needs as Sanditon, was just made.
