His Dark Materials: Details On James Mcavoy’s Missing Season 2 Episode

His Dark Materials Update: The global pandemic has got us all astray from our regular routine. Every sector in the world has been hit hard by the COVID-19. Industries have pushed their allied events to 2021.

And so is the story of His Dark Materials; a TV series that had almost packed up its shooting when COVID-19 happened.

His Dark Materials has rescheduled from Season 2

As disclosed in the first virtual San Diego Comic-Con; His Dark Materials had to force shut the release of season2.

The second season’s collection contained 8 episodes out of which 7 were continuous and 1 stand-alone. Winding up all the seven continuous shows the stand-alone episode shoot was called off due to the spread of COVID-19.

The head writer Jack Thorne found it difficult to edit the entire series in the wake of deletion of the stand-alone episode.  The stand-alone was expected to reveal a large of the plot of the season, and now they find it difficult to introduce new elements to the series on the whole.

The introduction of unplanned new elements in the story is supposed to affect the creativity of the show. It is a shame that we cannot see Asriel- centric episode now.

The second season is based on The Subtle Knife.

However, Asriel was the major character in His Dark Materials trilogy and the Northern Lights. It will be disheartening not to witness Asriel in the second season.

The third and concluding book in the series reveals the existence of Asriel. The fans are curious to know how the scriptwriter will interpret Asriel’s return in the last rendition.

So will we miss James McAvoy’s episode? Or will it be incorporated in season 3?

The Amber Spyglass adapted for season 3; will we witness Asriel’s missing episodes of the previous series or will a new plot be scripted?

Asriel will not be seen in the upcoming season. Hence His Dark Material will be missing James McAvoy from their screenplay this season.
