The Prom 2  Updates: The Prom, an adaptation of the Broadway musical following LGTBQ+ couples, released its trailer on Netflix lately.

The adaptation of the show is inspired by the Broadway musical which was premiered in 2018. The drama series has bagged a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical.

The Prom 2 Cast

The promo-trailer of the show features Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicoles Kidman, and Andrew Rannells. Jo Ellen Pellman and Ariana Debose play the lead roles as Emma and Alyssa.

On Thanksgiving, Netflix released The Prom trailer. After releasing promo photos that highlighted its A-list stars – Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, and Andrew Rannells – Netflix received criticism when putting in the background key players Jo Ellen Pellman and Ariana Debose, who play the central couple, Emma and Alyssa. The trailer, however, divides its time reasonably equally between the storylines.

The Prom Plot

A timeline split in the movie is where Emma is at work on her system. Also, narrating her story of how the school called off the prom. An emotional clipping of her mental health is showcased in the trailer when her relationship is disclosed in front of the PTA board.

The second part of the trailer features the Broadway stars discovering Emma’s story and decide to travel to Indiana to save her high school prom.

Emma (Pellman) sits at her computer and tells the story of how. Upon realizing that she was going to bring her girlfriend Alyssa (Debose) as her date, her high school shut down the prom. As her relationship is also put down in front of the entire PTA board and the effect it has on her mental health. The trailer reveals emotional moments for the teenager. Viewers also get a sneak peek of “Dance With You.” singing to Emma.

The trailer brilliantly delivers the message of the series. The movie is going to premiere around December on Netflix. The Broadway stars are also strolling around the city to help a teen attend prom with her girlfriend.
