For all Mankind Season 3 Updates: An American science fiction television series concocted by writer Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi and is produced by the streaming network of Apple+ and Sony Pictures Television.

This series dramatizes an alternate history pondering the question “What would have happened if the global space race had never ended?” and the audience has been thrilled with this for a transcending yet impressionistic perception. The first season signed off with mostly favorable reviews after 10 episodes debuting in Nov1,

2019  and has been renewed for the next season with its third extension being announced ahead of the premiere.

The first crewed mission to the Moon during the Space Race in the late 1960s was a global success for NASA and the United States. Originating from this drama is the question: “What if the Space Race had never ended?”

In an alternate timeline, a Soviet cosmonaut becomes the first human to land on the Moon which devastates morale at NASA but also catalyzes an American effort to catch up. With the Soviet Union diversifying by including a woman in subsequent landings, the US is forced to train women and minorities who were largely excluded from the initial decades of US space exploration.

Season 2 picks up a decade later in 1983. Set against the  Cold War, and tension between the United States and the USSR is at its utmost. The greater ambitions of science and space explorations are being put on the line as the Americans and Soviets are vying to conquer resources on the moon.

While the militarization of NASA becomes central to several characters’ stories: it is brought into  different plays whereas some find themselves at the height of a conflict that may lead to nuclear war

The follow-up stars a big crew of Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt, Jodi Balfour, Krys Marshall, and Sonya Walger. Adding to them are  Cynthy Wu as ‘Kelly; Coral Peña as an adult ‘Aleida Rosales,’ who was introduced in  Season 1; and Casey W. Johnson as ‘Danny Stevens,’ the son of astronauts Gordo and Tracy.

Release Date

This was among the few scripted shows to retrieve the production work in August post lockdown from where they left off earlier. Calling a wrap on the second season destined for a Feb 19, 2021 release, they went through to order the third run this December.
