Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Announces Their Upcoming Disney+ Series

Walt Disney Animation: Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar announced their upcoming Disney+ series between the two studios including shows for beloved Disney princesses Moana and Tiana. Disney Investor Day glammed up the Marvel and Star Wars fans.

Here are a few shows the production house is coming up with:

Raya and the Last Dragon

Disney promoted the first look of the show through a presentation. The show will premier on Disney+Hotstar in the premium category.

Baymax! The Series

This time San Francisco got lucky enough to host Walt Disney Animation’s first-ever series.  The series revolves around the nurse robot.

The series is A continuation of Big Hero 6, which features Baymax embracing his pilot protocol. Also, each episode will see him helping a new patient. The movie will feature on Disney+ Hotstar somewhere around 2022.

Zootopia+

Zootopia+

Disney+ Hotstar will broadcast its official animal series highlighting the supporting   characters from the film, including newlywed shrew Fru Fru in The Real Housewives of Little Rodentia. Gazelle’s tiger dancers in So You Think You Can Prance and fan favorite sloth, Flash.  Everyone is expecting the series to floor in the springs in 2020.

Tiana

The Princess and the Frog’s Tiana is back in her very own long-form musical-comedy series.  She Ventures beyond New Orleans and portrays as princess of the kingdom of Maldonia. The series is going to feature in 2023.

Encanto

the 60th film of the production house is going to release in November the coming year. It is under the direction of Byron Howard and Jared Bush and co-direction of Charise Castro Smith. Encanto is a magical musical venture in Columbia and features original tunes by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Dug Days is a series based on the  lovable talking dog as he adjusts to living in the suburbs with Carl.  Directed by Bob Peterson, the shorts will see Dug discover puppies, fireworks and– SQUIRREL! Dug Days is speculated to be featured in fall 2021.

Pixar plans to rekindle  the Cars franchise with a series based on Lightning McQueen and Mater as they take a road trip across the country, exploring new destinations with some old friends. But the wait is long as the series will be coming in Fall 2022.

Pixar’s pilot original long-form series will be featured in 2022. the show is directed by Toy Story 4 story artists Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates.

the show is centered  on a co-ed middle school softball team in week leading up to their championship game.

Turning red, brought by an Oscar-winning Bao director Domee Shi, is about 13-year-old Mei Lee.  She steers through the awkwardness of being a teenager — except for her, when she gets too excited, she uncontrollably “poofs” into a giant red panda.  the red giant panda will poof in theatre on March 11 In2022.

This time it isn’t another Toy Story movie, Buzz has come alive in his pilot avatar. The movie is directed by Angus MacLane. Chris Evans has dubbed for Buzz the Lightyear in the coming film expected in theaters June 17, a year later.
