Reviews on Pennyworth Season 2

Well this show is a surprise of fresh air in a vacuum of remakes, reboots and lazy tv series. I enjoyed not only the great acting but the awesome cinematography and the era it’s depicted in.

I call it a surprise because I never thought I’d end up enjoying this show to this level so much. It’s like a giant puzzle showing it’s great pieces one at a time, developing in an even better image than expected.

Some More Important Reviews

I have a lot of blokes as friends and therefore can understand better their language and expressions, which makes it easier to wrap my head around the conversations and character developments.

I specifically enjoy how this series gives us another perspective into the Wayne’s history and how things came about in our now present day and age in regards to Batman’s true origins, starting with his late father and mother before they got killed when Bruce was but a child.

What’s really good and best about this series is, it’s not about Bruce Wayne or Batman but rather about another main character that’s been in the background but at the Wayne’s family side from the start.

This new perspective is awesome and so is this series, which I highly recommend watching and if you missed the few first episodes, trust me, you’ll want to get caught up on those before the series goes further.

Bottom line, this series gets a 5 out of 5 stars and two thumbs up in my books. So far, the story has been solid & great and can only get better.

The writing is great, the acting is great, the cinematography is great, the era chosen and depicted is great, the action is not only great but also very believable, the character developments has been great for all characters, which makes the origin stories great as well.

It’s kind of a mix between James Bond, The Saint, Sherlock Holmes, Batman Detective stories, hence it has different flavours for all tastes. I could go on but I’m sure you get the gist of it. It’s a series you need to see for yourself in order to appreciate it of course.

But like I said previously, it’s definitely worth watching and in doing so, watch it from the pilot to where we are now and make your own mind with your own perception, in other words, judge it for yourselves and let us know what you think. It’s kind of like when it “first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in 1939”.
