The OTT streaming giant Netflix recently announced that Money Heist would be remade in the Korean language following its huge success. This announcement has made fans guessing about whether the series might also get some other adaptation as well.

Will Money Heist will be adapted for the Indian audience as well?

Recently Netflix confirmed the Korean remake of the series Money Heist. The official remake would be directed by Kim Hong-sun and Ryu Yong-Jae will serve as the writer of the show.

The show is originally created by Alex Pina and he might also step into the shoe of executive producer for the remake as he stated that Korean creators have been successfully creating their own language and audiovisual content for so many years.

He said that the Korean creators have managed to go beyond cultural borders like them and became a point of reference for thousands of viewers and audiences around the globe. So he believes that the series  La Casa de Papel would definitely attract the Korean audience if it is made as an adaptation.

So after the announcement of Netflix and Alex’s statement, fans are anticipating that the show might get some other adaptation as well.

India has been a major market for the show as it received a lot of accolades from the country, India might be a great option for the creators.

Reportedly, The Indian Express confirmed that the show Money Heist was among the list of most tweeted about series of 2020 in India. So the Indian market could be a great option for makers to look up to for an adaptation. But as of now, no official confirmation about its Indian adaptation has been made.

Talking about the show, it is directed by Alex Rodrigo. When he was earlier asked about what actors would he pick if an Indian adaptation is made, he picked Shahrukh Khan as either Berlin or Palermo, Ayushmann Khurrana, or Vijay as the professor, and Ajith as Bogota when he was shown pictures of them in an interview with behindwoods.com.

Currently, fans of the show are highly excited about its fifth season but they have to wait patiently as of now. You can watch the previous seasons on Netflix till then.
