The Midnight Sky is an upcoming American sci-fi film that will be premiering on an OTT giant Netflix. The George Clooney directorial has been theatrically released in some limited theatres on December 11, 2020, and will be one of those plenty movies which are scheduled to release during the Christmas week on Netflix.

The film is basically an adaptation of the book Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton. It is a post-apocalyptic movie and George Clooney has also served as the director of the film apart from starring in it.

The premise of The Midnight Sky:

The primary plot of the sci-fi flick The Midnight Sky revolves around Clooney’s character Augustine Lofthouse, a scientist who must set out with a young girl through Arctic Circle to warn off a returning spaceship following a global catastrophe.

The source material for the film is taken from the novel Good Morning, Midnight. The film has undergone some real-life arctic storm shooting in sub-zero conditions in Iceland as claimed by George Clooney. The Syriana actor has already two Academy awards in his kitty but still trying to cross every limit in order to make his fans happy and entertained.

The Midnight Sky: Release Date

The film has already been theatrically released in the United States in limited theatres on 11 December 2020 amid the COVID19 pandemic. The film will be streaming on Netflix on 23 December. After the theatrical release, the film received a mixed response from the critics while some excellent praises from the audience for its breathe taking visuals and intriguing score.
