Morgan Wallen makes fun of himself for getting kicked from SNL over partying during Covid-19

Published by

Morgan Wallen: It may have taken a couple of months longer than he’d hoped, yet Morgan Wallen made his Saturday Night Live debut throughout the end of the week – and before he played his set, he showed up in a sketch ridiculing himself.

Wallen was initially planned to show up as the musical guest for SNL S046E02 back in October, however, was pulled after he was spotted on camera celebrating without a mask at a sizable gathering in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, days before he should be on the show.

In the sketch – set at a said party in Alabama – Wallen plays himself and is going to begin making out with an arbitrary lady at the gathering (played by Chloe Fineman). Unexpectedly, a future variant of himself (played by having Jason Bateman) shows up in a haze of time travel cloud to caution him to abstain from celebrating without a mask or he’ll lose his opportunity to be on the show.

Future Wallen warns that when people catch wind of this gathering, he’ll be in huge problem and be canceled from Saturday Night Live.

In any case, the charm of alluring ladies and liquor before long influence Future Wallen too, and they are unexpectedly joined by a Wallen from significantly farther in the future (played by Bowen Yang). Ultimately, it’s clarified that Wallen shouldn’t stress a lot over getting the knock from his scene.

Wallen finishes the sketch off by singing a couple of bars from another melody motivated by his experience called “Focus on the Future.”

Not long after the sketch, Wallen made that big appearance to make his musical performance with a light and carefree rendition of “7 Summers.”

He made that big appearance by and by later in the scene for a serene and easy performance of “Still Goin’ Down”.

Wallen – who was supplanted by Jack White in the episode he was taken out from – made an ardent apology to his fans, and to the show, days before the episodes started circulating.

During an episode on a podcast ran by Bobby Bones, Wallen said getting kicked from SNL was something to be thankful for him.

He took a short break and came to the realization that he has small children that admire me so he should be aware of things like these and be careful in the future.

Saturday Night Live goes live, across the nation at 11:30 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC.
