George Clooney being honored by MoMA

George Clooney, 59-year-old American actor, director, film producer, screenwriter, philanthropist was honored at the Museum of Art’s 2020 film benefit on Monday during a virtual ceremony presented by Channel and benefiting Artist relief.

George Clooney and Julianna Margulies started opposite each other for the first five seasons of NBC’s medical drama hit.

The award presented to him was for the humanitarian and creative achievements, and other stars including Julianna Margulies and Bradley Cooper sent video messages gushing over the actors.

Clooney also gave his speech during the virtual meet and with hope amid this “unprecedented year”.

“Clooney has been somebody from a distance that I’ve used as inspiration to drive me to pursue things I fear. I watch the way that he has guided his own career and the choices he’s made, “Cooper said.

“I think he’s been an inspiration for so many young actors and people in this business who want to go on to maybe writing and direct movies as well,” he added.

Margulies was joined by a cadreof Clooney’s formal collaboration who gathered virtually to honor the Oscar winner as a part of MoMA’s annual benefit, which raised money for the museum’s department of film collection, which has a catalog of over 30000 international films and 4 million stills.

They raised money for the artist relief, a program created by the coalition grantmaker to support creatives during a pandemic.

Clooney is known for his work in America for humanitarian, he has also served as a United Nations messenger of peace and also donated to a cause around the world.

“Thanks to all my friends to say such kind things about me. It’s privileged to work with you, and most importantly, to call you my friend. I am a very lucky guy. ” Said Clooney during the benefit.
