Summertime Season 2 Update: The Italian drama streaming TV series Summertime is hugely anticipated for its second season. The first season of the series released on Netflix on 29 April 2020. The show is produced by Cattleya production company and directed by Francesco Lagi and Lorenzo Sportiello. The series is inspired by Three Meters Above the Sky by Federico Moccia.
Seeing the reception of its first season by fans, Netflix is all set to renew the series with its second season and it will be interesting to see that what the makers have in store for the fans this time.

Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement regarding the release date of the new season. Keeping the fact in mind that the first season premiered in April this year, it would definitely be early to expect the release date announcement anytime soon. Also, the pandemic has delayed many planned things when it comes to production or the principal filming of the series. But as now production can resume anytime soon keeping the relaxation to work under new guidelines and safety protocols.
As of now, fans should not expect the arrival of the new season anytime before summer 2021.
The series introduced us to the main lead of Coco Rebecca Edogamhe who played the role of Summer Bennati. The series also stars Ludovico Tersigni(Alessandro Alba), Amanda Campana(Sofia), Andrea Lattanzi(Dario), Giovanni Maini(Edo), Thony(Isabella), Alice Ann Edogamhe(Blue Bennati), Stefano Fregni(Piero), Giuseppe Giacobazzi(Loris), Eugenio Krauss(Bruno De Cara), Maria Sole Mansutti(Laura Alba), Mario Sgueglia(Maurizio Alba) and Caterina Biasiol(Maddalena).
The second season will also return with the familiar faces and we might see the introduction of a few new faces as well. Though no official revelation regarding the cast of season 2 has been made, it will be interesting to see how makers continue this enthralling story.
Sadly, there has been no official news about the plot of Summertime season 2 from Netflix. The series aired this year in April so it will be too early to guess the arrival of the second season anytime soon.
The basic premise for season 2 might be the continuation of Summer’s magnificent journey as she will proceed to the next chapter of her life. We might also see the long-distance relationship of Summer with Ale as one of the important chapters in the upcoming season.
