Kengan Ashura Season 3 Updates: Kengan Ashura is an anime series based on Japanese manga series of same name by writer Yabako Sandrovich and illustrator Daromeon.
The series is directed by Seiji Kishi. The first season of Kengan Ashura was premiered on Netflix in July 2019 while the second season released in October 2019. The series was produced by Larx Entertainment.
The anime series basically revolves around the character of Tokita “Ashura” Ohma. After defeating the fighter of Nogi group in a street fight, Ashura is recruited by the organization’s CEO, Hideki Noki.
The story develops when he and the manager, Yamashita Kazuo teams up and together wade through the brutal world of gladiator fighting. The previous season of the anime series comprises of 12 long episodes of half an hour each and was premiered worldwide on 31 October, 2019 on Netflix.
As of now, there has been no clarity about the renewal of the series for a third season. It is a known fact that how COVID 19 has affected the production of many entertainment projects, but reportedly, the season 3 will be based on the sequel of manga series, ‘Kengan Omega’. Fans can expect to see the return of Kengan Ashura sometime in mid-2021
The series stars Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Japanese) and Kaiji Tang (English) in the voice of main character Ohma Tokita. The voice for the character of manager Kazuo Yamashita is lend by Chō (Japanese) and Keith Silverstein (English). Jouji Nakata (Japanese) and Michael C. Pizzuto (English) voice the character of Hideki.
Hayato Kaneko (Japanese) and Jonah Scott (English) are the voices behind the character of Lihito. Yumi Uchiyama (Japanese) and Erika Harlacher (English) voices Kaede Akiyama.
Tetsu Inada (Japanese)/Jake Green (English), Tetsu Inada (Japanese)/Jake Green (English) and Daisuke Namikawa (Japanese)/Todd Haberkorn (English) have lend their voices to the characters Jun Sekibayashi, Cosmo Imai and Setsuna Kiryū respectively. Every member of the main cast will be seen returning in season 3.
The previous season ended with the finale where Ohma battles Raian, a brutal assassin from the Kure Clan. With the help of his father Niko Tokito, ultimately Ohma wins the battle in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament.
So in the season 3, fans might get to witness rest of the tournament. As the season 3 will be based on ‘Kengan Omega’ the continuation will begin from two years after the tournament and new characters might be introduced in the new season.
