There she finds that the family land has coal mine which is being stolen by two brothers. This lady falls for another woman and they encounter romance and passion which Anne Lister records in a diary having coded words. Gentleman Jack is drama of the life of LGBTQ.
The show became much popular within short period of time and has 3 win and 7 nominations for many awards. This unique show won, British Film Designers Guild Awards in 2019 and 2020 and Royal Television Society UK (RTS Television Award) for best drama series this year and is nominated for- Broadcasting Press Guild Awards for best actress (Suranne Jones), GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics (2020), World Soundtrack Awards (2019), Writers Guild of Great Britain Award for best long form TV drama.
