The comedy-drama premiered on 21 February on Netflix. The story revolves around three Mexican-American cousins.
The series is produced by Eileen Dragovan with MARCO as its production company. The series stars a number of talented actors like- Joaquin Cosio, J.J Soria, Karrie Martin, Greg Ellis, Julissa Calderon, Jaime Alvarez, Al Patino, Brenda Banda, Michele Ortiz, and Carlos Santos.
“Gentrified” is completely based on three Mexican-American cousins, they struggle to chase their “American dream” but the same dream threatens their most valuable things and puts them in danger.
They also run their grandfather’s Taco Shop, which is in danger too. The series deals with the life struggles and adventures that the three cousins face.

Season 2 is expected to return with the three cousins saving their family Taco Shop. It will for sure focus on the way, which will help the three cousins to get out of the big problem in front of them. Season 2 is expected to be the more loved season.
Season 1 was showered with much love and appreciation. On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has an approval rating of 91% and an average rating of 7.95 out of 10- a huge gain for a series.
As sources suggest, the renewal for season 2 was announced after the release of season 1 in May 2020. With the success of season 1, it can be expected that season 2 two will air soon.
Releases of a series depend purely on its production. As it is not new to know that, productions are at a halt because of a pandemic. With the strict measures to follow, this allows minimum cast and crew members on the production unit. So it becomes quite difficult to go with the productions timely.
There are no such announcements for the fixed date release but we can expect the airing of season 2 near late 2021.
