Kim Kardashian opens up about her Breakdown during Last Phone call with Death Row Inmate Brandon Bernard.

Kim Kardashian: Kim Kardashian has completely broken down after the execution of inmate Brandon Bernard. She talked about how she lost it during the last phone call with Brandon for whose life she has been fighting.

Recently, the Supreme Court denied the last stay of execution despite the innumerable pleas to spare his life. His execution was carried out by lethal injection in Terre Haute, IN federal prison on the evening of 10 December.

Its the ninth federal execution of 2020, since the Trump administration resumed federal execution in July 2020 after the postponement of almost 17 years. It’s the first time in the history of 130 years that execution has happened during a presidential lame-duck period.

There are still four more federal executions to be carried out which are scheduled before President-elect Joe Biden is sworn in on 20 January 2021.

Though many of the inmates have been helped by Kim to gain freedom with his efforts on prison reform she has failed to save Brandon from execution. Her plea to President Donald Trump was denied and Brandon was ordered to a death sentence.

Brandon was actually given the death penalty in 2000 for a crime which he committed at the age of 18 and the death sentence was carried out by giving a lethal injection to him. Before the execution, Kim talked to Brandon for what could be the last time and the conversation has left Kim completely broken.

She took her Twitter to handle to explain her state of mind. Check out some of her tweets after the execution which she tweeted around 2 pm PST.

She wrote about how the last call with Brandon was the hardest call of her life, and how Brandon was asking about his family. She explained how heartbreaking it was when Brandon told him that he is claustrophobic and he was offered a shot of sedative to keep him calm. She wrote that she muted the phone as she doesn’t want Brandon to hear her cry like that.

She has been constantly fighting for Brandon since the day she got to know about his plight in November 2020. On the 29th of November, she wrote on Twitter, “A terrible case has been brought to my attention and I need your help. Without it, on December 12th Brandon Bernard is going to be executed for a crime he participated in as a teenager.”

Kim explained in the tweet that how Brandon’s involvement is least among the other teens involved, two of whom were already home from prison. She also showed concern for the victims Todd and Stacie and their families.

The prison reform advocate Kim tried to explain that Brandon was a teenager, around 18-years-old.  The crime led to the death of Todd and Stacie Bagley in 1999. He along with his friend then 17-year-old Terry Brown got apart from a group of friends.

Three others carjacked the couple and locked them in their trunk and the group’s leader, Christopher Vialva suggested killing the couple and he shot them. Brandon and Terry were asked to get rid of the evidence and they set the car on fire thinking that the couple is dead.

Brandon was given the death sentence for his role in the crime since he was 18. His associates Terry and Christopher Lewis have already been released from prison whereas Tony Sparks has been punished with imprisonment till 2030. Christopher Vialva has already been executing in September 2020 by giving a lethal injection at the federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana.

There have been debates whether Brandon deserved the death sentence as he was not the ringleader behind the offenses but was just a follower.
