As of now, no announcement about the cast of the sequel has been made.

What can be the possible plot

The movie Death Note basically revolves around the story of Light Turner, an American high school student who finds a mysterious supernatural notebook known as ‘Death Note’.

The book can kill anyone whose name is written in its pages and the story develops as he Light meets death god Ryuk who is the owner of Death Note.

As the film is an adaptation of Japanese manga of the same name, so the sequel will also be based on the same but as the storyline of part 1 was quite controversial, fans might see some minor necessary changes in the sequel.

When can we get the Release date?

The movie is yet to go into production for its principal filming and no confirmations have been made regarding its release date neither from Netflix nor Greg Russo. So, it would useless to make any assumptions about the same.
