Kelly Clarkson and Serena Williams hit Back on Body Shamers

Kelly Clarkson: Kudos to Kelly Clarkson and Serena Williams, who are standing up against body shamers.  Williams came on Clarkson’s program,’ The Kelly Clarkson Show’ and they talked about how to deal with such people.

Clarkson has always stood up against body shamers and commends professional tennis player, Williams, as she is body positive. The 38-year-old Clarkson said, “I’ve always had to square strong for myself with my body image within the spotlight, you’ve always done that, you are so body positive.”

Williams also praised Clarkson for calling out body shamers herself. She said, “I love that you’ve always done that, it’s so cool.”

“Was that the British chick?” Clarkson responded, talking about what happened in the year 2015 when a U.K. TV show actor, Katie Hopkins, asked if Clarkson had eaten “all of her backing singers”. Kelly then in an interview said She doesn’t know how awesome she is and it didn’t bother her, and she thought that she doesn’t have time for her over the pond, as she already had enough people hating her.

“What makes me mad about it, [is] not how it’s said to me — it’s rude and clearly, nobody likes to listen to it — but it’s because other women and other little girls are searching there and they’re bigger than me and they’re going, ‘If they think she’s this fashion, then what does the planet consider me?’”

Clarkson said. Kelly thinks that people’s psyche, particularly in today’s world is because of social media.

“It’s with great care hard, so that’s what makes me mad and that I want I have got to stay talking about it every once during a while and get on my feet,” she continued.

Clarkson added that she tries to debate matters in an exceedingly comedic way, but that “sometimes you simply gotta shut it down.” Kelly had also in the year 2019, discussed body positivity with singer Bebe Rexha.

In 2017, Clarkson more experienced a Twitter user who declared, “You’re fat” by writing, “….and still f**king awesome.”
