David Lander: The famous “Squiggy” from “Laverne and Shirley” is no more. The famous artist died of multiple sclerosis at the age of 73.

He was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he took his last breath on Friday evening, 4 December.

David lander was an American actor, comedian, musician, and baseball scout. He is best known for his portrayal of Squiggy on the Sitcom “Laverne And Shirley”. He has also served as Goodwill Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

David made the news of his disease public in the year 1999. He battled multiple sclerosis for around 37 years. David was a New York native and dreamt of becoming an actor when he was just 10. He completed his education at New York University.

Being a victim of such a disease, he wrote his autobiography in 2002 titled “Fall Down Laughing: How Squiggy Caught Multiple Sclerosis And Didn’t Tell Nobody”.

Later, Lander and his best friend Micheal McKean developed the character of Lenny and Squiggy for the Sitcom show-“Laverne And Shirley”. The show was wrapped up in 1983, before which it completed 8 seasons.

The late actor was no doubt one of the multi-personality people we know. He has worked in famous shows like-The Bob Show, Barney Miller, Mad About You, The Drew Carey Show, Happy Days, Etc. His films include –A Bug’s Life, A League Of Their Crown, Christmas With The Kranks, Etc.

After the sad news of Lander’s demise, friend Michael remembered him for his sense of humor and said that Lander was one of the people who never complained about his illness.

He was surviving with such pain and difficulties, but he never encountered any problem in his work. Michael also said that he was Lander’s friend for about fifty-five years. He was a brave and inspiring person too.

Michael also says that he will always remember such a great personality and even the world will. His great work and creative ideas have made many shows successful. Michael remembers lander as a genius and intelligent person.
