Selena’s Husband Chris Perez: Recently, Netflix released the new series  Selena: The Series which mainly focuses on the early days of the late singer Selena Quintanilla.

The new limited biographical series released on Netflix on December 4, 2020, and Suzette Quintanilla, sister of Selena serves as the executive producer of the show and she also played drums in Quintanilla’s band earlier.

What Selena’s Husband Chris Perez has to say?

Guitarist Chris Perez who married Quintanilla three years before her murder in 1995, has now revealed his opinions about the series. Perez had positive reviews about the show and he also asked fans to enjoy it too.

He began talking about his love for Selena’s music saying “I loved her music even before I joined the band.” He said that he was fascinated by the fact that A.B. Quintanilla produced his sister’s music.

Perez continued,  “Her dad ran some amazing sound when I went to see them at an event in San Antonio,  I learned so much by taking on their guitar player Roger Garcia’s parts and doing my best to stretch it even further.”

Perez also praised Suzette for her drumming skills and other members of the band including the Keyboardist Joe Ojeda and lyricist Pete Astudillo. He wrote, “I will forever respect the band and the people involved in it. I hope you guys enjoy this series.”

The show included 9 episodes and stars Christian Serratos(Selena), Madison Taylor Baez(young Selena), Gabriel Chavarria(A.B. Quintanilla), Ricardo Chavira(Abraham Quintanilla), Noemi Gonzalez(Suzette Quintanilla), and Seidy Lopez(Marcella Quintanilla).

Though Perez has only positive opinions about the show, he also revealed earlier that he is not a part of the production and had no idea about the script before its release.

“At the end of the day, we all have our perspective on certain things and how things happened, I’ve put out everything I wanted to put out already. There’s not much more I want to say, and that’s the God-honest truth.”
