The New Location of Top Chef: Season 18
The cooking competition has thus set forth to the Pacific Northwest. The upcoming season of Top Chef has announced its new location for season 18 – it is none other than Portland, the city of roses!
Oregon is famous for its scenic beauty and has various restaurants, food carts, seafood, and quality wine. This diverse food culture led Top Chef to choose Portland, Oregon, as its next location.
The new season will feature a new group of talented chefs coming from nearby regions exploring the famous food of Portland. They can make unique dishes with the indigenous ingredients found here. The city has always been on their list because of its innovative dining culture by local farms, independent restaurants, and purveyors.
The Travel Portland president, Jeff Miller, says how selecting portland as their venue signifies that, despite the pandemic, Portland stands as the world-class culinary destination. The show will also lead tourists to this place as the scenic beauty will be broadcasted worldwide.
Production
The judges’ panel and sitting arrangements will change in the upcoming season. The show will cast Padma Lakshmi, the judge and returning host, and Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons as well. Besides the judges’ panel, a rotating panel of Top Chef winners will also examine the contestants.
The best part is that the new season is in the middle of its filming currently, and fans do not have to wait much longer for it!
