The story is based on the early life of Dr. Raina Barris and on the childhood years of Rainbow Johnson. The story relates to Rainbow’s experiences of growing into a mixed-race family in the 1980s.

The kids face dilemmas, as they find the whole world, where these kids are perceived as neither black nor white. Rainbow and her siblings keep figuring out to fit in everyone else story. The family also faces dilemmas over whether to accept self or assimilate when Rainbow’s parents move from a Hippie commune to the suburbs in 1985.

The most NON -DISCUSSED topic of the series has made it a huge success. This series is a story with something real but different. As a result of which this looks worth watching.

Through the sources, it has been confirmed that Johnsons will be back with season 2. Season two will premiere on 26 January 2021 at 9:30 pm on ABC. With the end of season 1, it can be said that season 2 will surely be a series worth sticking to the end!
