City On A Hill Season 2 Updates:‘City On A Hill’ is an American crime drama series created by Chuck Maclean, based on an original idea by Bon Affleck and Chuck Maclean. The series has also resulted in the breakthrough of its creator- Chuck Maclean.
The 34 old Quincy native, created the series taking original ideas from Ben Affleck, which turned it into a great hit for Showtime. The series is based on the story of renegade FBI investigator Jackie Rohr (Kevin Bacon) and assistant district attorney Decovrey Ward (Aldis Hodge), as they join together to take down the gang of armored car thieves.
Maclean was demoted after an internal investigation into misconduct allegations by Showtime. Maclean was the subject of an anonymous complaint post-City And A Hill’s first season wrapping. During the investigation, Showtime revealed that “inappropriate comments were made in violation of CBS policy.” As a result, Maclean will be serving as a writer only for the second season and is not allowed in post-production activities.
The investigation was done in September, prior to the filming of season 2, and now Showtime has declared the matter closed.

Maclean said “during City On A Hill, I focused especially on supporting anyone who was underrepresented or felt marginalized on set and in the writers’ room. As a result, I was shocked and saddened when I heard that an anonymous individual had made these allegations”.
He also added that he fully cooperated with the investigation and is happy to know the all the allegations are unfounded.
The network has announced the renewal for the second season and the executive praised the “creative writing of Tom and Maclean”, which in turn confirms the “bright future” of the series as well. But it is ambiguous to say about the involvement of Maclean in the 3rd season.
Well, the second season will be soon premiered but the exact schedule is not known.
