Legend of Tomorrow Season 6 Updates: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow just referenced Dr. Strangelove by casting Body of Proof actor Nic Bishop in a tribute to the dark 1964 satire Kubrick movie.

TVLine has received the news that the Aussie actor is set to be visitor star on the CW show in a Season 6 riff on Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Stanley Kubrick’s acclaimed caricature of the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States.

In the episode— which has all the earmarks of being the upcoming season’s fourth, named “Bay of Squids” — Nate (portrayed by Nick Zano) and Zari (played by Tala Ashe) must penetrate the White House during the 60s era to stop Bishop’s warmongering General Kilgore from guiding the President of the USA at that time, i.e John F. Kennedy to begin WWIII when an outsider starts unleashing ruin in Fidel Castro’s Cuba in 1962.

While a few bad guys for Legends of Tomorrow Season 6 have just been reported, Nic Bishop’s General Kilgore is another expansion to its setup.

The actor has recently shown up on the ABC clinical dramatization Body of Proof, where he played a previous cop turned lawful examiner. Given Bishop’s previous acting experience, this new character on Legends of Tomorrow feels like a sensible advance in his acting vocation.

The choice to give recognition to Dr. Strangelove is a remarkable one for Legends of Tomorrow, yet it gives some knowledge into the essential focal point of Season 6.
