Producer Joaquin Vodanovich added: “Lucha’s culture of freedom has been with us for more than a century and we want to honor that heritage in the right way.”

Fans of Lucha libre wrestling were quick to comment when Crackle recently made an announcement about his new show. A Twitter user @desiccatedveins compares it to another free Lucha show and makes a joke if the series could lead to something bigger – perhaps at the same time the current President finally leaves office.
