Bob Hearts Abishola Update: When it comes to sitcoms, there is nothing as certain as Chuck Lorre’s name attached to the game. The producer is known for his plays such as ‘Two and a Half Men’, ‘The Big Bang Theory’, and ‘Mama’. Last year, as part of CBS’s attempt to bring more diversity to the network system, Chuck Lorre’s ‘Bob Hearts Abishola’ was launched. The recent sitcom made history by having the first South African sitcom to feature immigrants as the main characters.

For the first time, we met Bob, a 50-year-old pressure-sock businessman from Detroit for a competitive trade. He runs a business with his family including Dottie his protective mother who also relies on him to run the business; Christina, her sister with high lines, and Douglas, her inactive brother.

While the first season had its hiccups, the sitcom did well and connected with a global audience. In November, the sitcom is back with new episodes as the second season delay. Folake Olowofoyeku is a Nigerian actress. He has starred in ‘How To Get Away With Murder’, ’30 Rock’, and ‘Westworld’. He plays the role of Abishola which is his first lead role in American television.

Billy Gardell is a stand-up comedian and actor best known for his role as Chicago police officer Mike Biggs, in the sitcom ‘Mike and Molly’. He has also acted in ‘My Name by Earl’ and in ‘Young Sheldon’. Gardell plays the role of an actor, Bob.

‘Bob Hearts Abishola’ also starred Matt Jones as Douglas Wheeler, Maribeth Monroe as Christina Wheeler, Gina Yashere as Kemi, Bayo Akinfemi as Goodwin, Anthony Okungbowa as Kofo Olanipekun, Vernee Watson as Gloria Tyler, and Travis Wolfe Jr. as Dele Babatunde Adebambo.

‘Bob Hearts Abishola’ Season 2 will premiere on CBS on Monday, November 16, at 8.30 pm EST.
