No Man’s Land Updates: A series set in Syria “No Man’s Land” is the first sequence produced by the OSN premiered on 2nd November.
The show revolves around a foreign man who lives to =believe that his sister is dead after a suicide bombing event.
But days later he is astonished to see his sister in a news report and sets on forage for his sister. He decides to join hands with the Enemy of Daesh- a unit of all-female Kurdish fighters.
The series cast Dean Ridge as Paul and James Krishna Floyd as Nasir. Two friends a white British Muslim and British Egyptian man from West London; join Daesh.
James Purefoy; plays the master of all. He is the miscreant and plays dirty with his assets.
James says he baffled about these Kurdish Women’s not discovered until now. Speaking about the social movements around; he says these Syrian Women are extraordinarily cinematic that one could have ever witnessed. He adds it is saddening to see the existence of unheard voices.
Apart from the regular norms of war and terrorism; this show showcases a personal touch of the fragility of the characters.
Sarya; a female YPJ Kurdish fighter seen to add the personal touch to the script with her deep emotional intentions and desires no politics.
The minimum politics versus personal tinge was always the foundation of the plot. The characters play clean and portray the uncomfortable situation one might face fighting Daesh. The plot reveals the dark context of the tragedies faced.
The show demands the characters to set on a quest for their challenges.
Although the show is based on Syrian events; it shot in Morocco. A setup that feels completely genuine and believable.
The setup has air, sand, and filth that make it feel real and overwhelming for the actors.
Purefoy bamboozled with the efforts put forth by the production house as he has never experienced such intricacy in any of his British or American production to date.
Purefoy is one of the versatile actors of the industry. He is known for his successful TV series “Altered Carbon”, ” Sex Education” or ” Rome”.
Purefoy says he amazed by the brilliant script that he approached for and also praises Oded Ruskin for his tireless direction.
This will OSN’s first drama series and the crowd expected to take a good note from it.
