Since the long-awaited premiere of the 18th season of CBS’ NCIS is just weeks away, fans are excitedly waiting for the super dramatic ride that the upcoming season brings with it.
Though there is a lot to stay excited for, somehow the focus still remains the focus even after all these seasons is that whether or not this season will brew some romance between Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Jacqueline Sloane (Maria Bello).
Since, months before there was any news of the airing of Season 18 of the drama, Maria Bello’s exit from NCIS was confirmed.
Though the news did sadden the fans, there were a lot of assumptions as to how the star’s journey will end ranging from death to job transfer but there is a silver lining to it too.
This means that Gibbs and Sloane’s romance will finally be addressed which was pretty much heated since the last three seasons.

Not really a happy moment though, this cute (however awaited and romantic it may be) is only going to break the hearts of the fans as when Sloane will leave, however, the departure may occur, will leave Gibbs truly devastated without his love.
It’s not like this snap is the only hint we have of Sloane’s involvement in the eighteenth season, there was a minute-long trailer released by CBS a while ago and we surely caught a glimpse of Sloane there though it was for a really brief moment.
