Britannia Season 2 Episode 5 Review: As the show advances with Season 2, it is turning out to be increasingly more obvious that the fate of Britannia hangs entirely on the hands of Harka and Veran.

Caution: Spoilers for ‘Britannia’ Season 2 scene 5

Many years ago, there were two siblings who adored each other profoundly. However, at one point an act of double-crossing separated them, tossing one in the pits of death.

Presently, The Dead Man is back and he is working with the earth devil Lokka himself to destroy Britannia.

Britannia Season 2 Episode 5 Review

In the latest of ‘Britannia’ Season 2, we don’t see the Romans. But instead, Episode 5 returns the emphasis on the interior unrest among clans, the Druids, and above all, the prophecy. In a significant jump since the season began, the show is gaining ground on this front.

Cait (Eleanor Worthington Cox) has to now introduce herself to the water goddess to pass one more obstacle, which will carry her closer to fulfilling the prophecy. Together, she and Divis (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) set themselves up for the following day as they lay in the cavern protecting themselves from the rain.

As the show advances with its Season 2, it is turning out to be increasingly more clear that the destiny of Britannia lies in the hands of Harka and Veran.

The Romans may be the external foe, however, the more enemies may be nearer than anybody is looking. Romans can surely set clans in opposition to one another, yet it is Veran and Harka now that hold the force – directly or indirectly – to choose the way the prophecy goes.

So now Harka’s plan is somewhat more obvious – he has in a real sense sent “love” – Mallin (Tom Rhys Harries) – to influence the lady from making the prophecy come true. Regardless of whether Cait will succumb to this plan or not, only time will tell.

Somewhere else, Queen Amena (Annabel Scholey) is working at Aulus’ (David Morrissey) homework from the past episodes. She thinks that she could figure out how to influence him in her support. But the Devni clan and her sister Queen Andra (Samantha Colley) reject all of her advances.

Where to Watch?

‘Britannia’ airs on Epix on Sundays at 9/8c.
