Great Pretender Season 2 Updates: Netflix has announced the release date for the new Great Pretender episodes for fans outside of Japan! Great Pretender has one of Netflix’s most unusual anime release schedules in recent memory as it has released various Japanese clips.
But fans elsewhere have finally seen the first episodes of the episodes themselves earlier this year when Great Pretender finally launched Netflix outside of Japan. Now that Netflix has unveiled their release program in November, fans have also received the Great Pretender “Season 2” date.
According to the official Twitter account of Netflix, a series of the following Great Pretender programs will air on November 25 in the United States. Which means it’s going to be a great Thanksgiving Day for many anime fans looking forward to the next episode of the series!
Although Netflix calls this the “2nd Season” of the Great Pretender, it is actually only the back half of the first season as it was released on Netflix in Japan. The first episodes of the series end with episode 14, so “Season 2” of the series will include Episode 15-23 of the series. And while the full slide is now being broadcast on Netflix in Japan, it has yet to end its live streaming.
This is the first anime series directed by Hiro Kaburagi (Hozuki Dating) of WIT Studio (the studio after the attacks of the first three seasons of Titan and many more). Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion) served as the lead character in the series, Ryota Kosawa (Parasyte’s action film) worked as a scriptwriter, and Yutaka Yamada (Tokyo Ghoul, Vinland Saga) composed the music for the series.
When the series first appeared in Japan, fans in the United States were wondering when they would see the series after seeing how some of the series’ promotional material hit. Now with the next episodes of the episode, American fans will finally see how the series ends!
