Will Hulu ‘Helstorm’ Be Renewed For A Second Season? and Every other thing

Helstrom debuted on Hulu on Oct. 16, and from that point forward, fans have been contemplating whether the Marvel series will get a subsequent season. This is what we know so far about Helstrom season 2.

‘Helstrom’ is based on Marvel characters

Hulu awakens Marvel’s Son of Satan, otherwise known as Hellstorm with its new series, Helstrom. The show follows Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), a pair of powerful kins who rejoins when the evil spirit taking over their mom, Victoria (Elizabeth Marvel), starts unleashing his wrath on the planet.

The kin’s dad was a devil/satan/serial killer who wedded their mom and drove her to his path of darkness. However, Daemon, who was raised by Dr. Louise Hastings (June Carryl), sides with his mom’s humanity as opposed to his dad’s insidious side. And then there’s Ana, who was kidnapped by her dad and afterward brought up in child care. She has a big ego but in the end, joins the good side. Both of the siblings possess terrifying powers.

Helstrom and Marvel Cinematic Universe

Helstrom was made by Marvel Television and executive producer Jeph Loeb. But, it’s not part of the MCU unlike shows like WandaVision, Loki, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Therefore, it’s in no way integral for the MCU.

In any case, as announced by Deadline, Marvel Television was shut down in December 2019 and Loeb left the dead studio. What’s more? The shows it had just released, that is Helstrom and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were it’s last.

Will there be a season 2?

Despite that nailbiting cliffhanger, it doesn’t appear as though Helstrom will return for season 2. The show’s studio and chief creator are both gone, which implies there isn’t a lot of expectation that a prequel season would get made.

The show can survive in the event it gets picked by Marvel Studios. But, that situation doesn’t appear to be likely given Marvel is busy with its 4th Phase‘s lineups like Hawkeye and Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the poor reception of Helstrom by the industry critiques puts the final nail in the coffin.
