Upcoming Releases of 2020: In between the rising tension of the  COVID-19 cases tallying up higher than ever as many nations confront the second wave and the presidential Election commotion, the flicks, and seasoned shows have taken upon themselves to save this year for us.

Recently entered the roster is Netflix originals Rebecca, a remake of the epistolary novel of the same name by Daphne du Maurier. With seemingly grandiose visuals and the on-screen romance, this Ben Wheatley directed narrative failed to hit a curve and fell substandard to the gruesomeness making it an unconvincing and boring take on the classic.

However, the streaming giants never fall short of options and have a lot of projects queued up for a release with several promos gushing every now and then.

Let’s See Upcoming Releases of 2020

1.Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

Kick-starting it from the adaptation of August-Wilson’s play centering on the real-life blues singer, Ma Rainey Davis portrayed by Viola Davis ( honored with an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in ‘Fences’ ) and the late Chadwick Boseman as Levee.

The Netflix film is already creating Oscar Buzz as it features a recording session of the ‘Mother of the Blues ‘ and her crew, titled for a release on Dec 18^th.

2.The Prom

Grounding from the eponymous Broadway show, this musical comedy by Ryan Murphy has an all-star cast of Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington assisted by other co-actors.

Two pairs of actors with a crisis in their hands cynically take up the cause of a student, Emma being forbidden from attending the prom with her girlfriend; for professional upliftment which finally results in upending their motive and is to have a Netflix premiere on Dec 11^th.

3.Wander Darkly

After a harrowing car accident, a woman; Adrienne is stuck in his marriage with Matteo trying to tackle the curveballs life throws at her while revisiting memories of their past. Role-played by Siena Miller and Diego Luna, it is being put up for a release on Dec 11^th.

4.Dash & Lily

This literary series ordered by Netflix takes after the threefold novel of ‘Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares ‘ and is a  frothy coming of age rom-com about finding love between an unlikely couple; a precocious girl, Lily ( by Midori Francis), optimistic about love cast; opposite an offbeat  Dash( by Austin Abrams ).

They cross their paths as they anonymously trade their dreams and desires. It arrives on Nov 10^th as a harbinger of the holidays with Christmas music on the soundtrack.
