ABC’’s The Good Doctor revolving around Shaun Murphy played by Freddie Highmore’s life who starts a new life by joining the reputed St. Bonaventure hospital in San Jose California premiered in September 2017 and has been a fan favorite ever since.
Fans are still getting over the heartbreak season e brought upon them with the death of their favorite character Dr. Melendez played Nicholas Gonzalez from sustained injuries from an earthquake. The beloved character died a hero after he chose to treat a patient ignoring his deteriorating condition.
Though it has been seven months since this tragic ending, seeing the official season 4 trailer on Instagram on The Good Doctor’s official page, fans are disheartened at the thought of watching the show without their favorite, Dr. Melendez.
The Good Doctor Season 3: How did it end?
As mentioned earlier, Dr. Melendez lost his life unexpectedly ending his cute love story with Dr. Claire Browne played by Antonia Thomas. The heartbreak was unbearable as she confessed her love only to receive an ‘I love you too’ in his final moments.
Another shock was that Dr. Alex Park played by Will Yun Lee had secret plans to be closer to his son by catching the hold of the Phoenix.
Also, season 3 gave us an answer to the unpredictable story of Shaun and Lea played by Paige Spara. They kissed and confessed their love dramatically and made the audience go awwww.

The awaited 4th season of the show will release on Monday, November 1, 2020.

Sadly, we won’t be seeing the loved face of Dr. Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) and the familiar stars will be seen mourning his death. Will Yun Lee will be returning as Dr. Park despite his plans of leaving town. The new faces of Dr. Olivia Jackson as Summer Brown), Dr. Asher Wolke as Noah Galvin, Dr. Enrique Guerin as Brian Marc, and Dr. Jordan Allen as Bria Samoné will also be on the screen along with familiar ones.

Talking to TV Insider, star Freddie Highmore said that Shaun and Lea’s relationship problems will be complex and grave. Also, executive producer David Shore said that Claire and Audrey Linn will be seen coping with the death of their loved ones.
