Virgin River Season 2: All we know about the second instalment so far

Virgin River season 2 Updates: The first season of Virgin River was a hit amongst the hopeless romantics on Netflix and they have been waiting for a second season of the show ever since the first season ended with uncertainty for the characters of the show. Now that some images from behind the scenes of `Virgin River’ have surfaced, fans suddenly have high hopes of watching the awaited second season in the following months.

The drama after landing in the month of December last year became an instant hit among Netflix subscribers.

Mel Monroe played by Alexandra Breckenridge comes to a remote Californian town to make it her new home. The series is based on Robyn Carr’s novel `Virgin River `. It’s a relief for the fans that the show is in for a ten-episode season 2 as the last one ended on a cliff-hanger that will adapt the Harley Quinn’s book series of Robyn Carr.

Virgin River Season 2: Release Date

There has been no confirmation regarding the release date of `Virgin River` Season 2 though it was intended to release in 2020.

As per Southern Living, the upcoming season will have 10 episodes but Netflix has not said much about the show yet. We still don’t know if the filming was wrapped before the pandemic or will the show face delays because of it.

Season 2: Cast- who will return?

Many of the stars from the `Virgin River `season 1 are expected to reprise their roles. The list of the expected cast is as follows:

Alexandra Breckenridge is expected to be seen as a season 1 character Melinda “Mel” Monroe, Colin Lawrence as John “Preacher” Middleton, Annette O’Toole as Hope McCrea, Lauren Hammersley as Charmaine Roberts, Jenny Cooper as Joey Barnes and Tim Matheson as Vernon “Doc” Mullins.

As per Deadline’s report of June 2020, Ben Hollingsworth’s role as Dan Brady might be expanded in the upcoming second season of the show and he might be seen as a show regular.
