Eater’s Guide to The World: Trailer Released and Maya Rudolph’s Culinary Journey

Published by

Eater’s Guide to The World: Updates: “Some eat to live; some live to eat”. And what more does the latter need than the voice of Maya Rudolph herself to guide them in this epic food journey that is ‘Eater’s Guide to the World’.

Eater’s Guide to The World Synopsis:

With World Food Day this month, Hulu’s released the trailer for a new unscripted show Eater’s Guide to the World where the Emmy-winning Big Mouth voice actress gives us an aural tour of different places and their different cuisines.

From the sizzling sounds of a delicious pork belly taco on the griddle in Tijuana to the chuckling that fills the air of a late-night burger joint in New York City after a tiring drag show.

Executive producer Lauren Cynamon remarks that the show is a local’s manual for the lounge areas, street corners, and parking spots over the world where you can get yourself a delicious bite.

As the very first TV show Eater and Vox Media Studios have produced for a streaming service, the seven-episode series investigates the absolute most fulfilling culinary obsessions around the globe including the Pacific Northwest, Casablanca, Tijuana, and Costa Rica.

Amanda Kludt, editor-in-chief of Eater, explains how the show sheds light on some of the lesser-known local establishments thus giving them a voice.

This show is tied in with flaunting the local food and culture through the eyes of those who’ve lived and love the place they live. It’s and great at displaying the feeling of fun and marvel that the food of any city is known for.

All through the show, Rudolph portrays the journey to locate the most surprising spots to score an epic feast, while drinking and eating with local people en route.

She goes from Tapas at the bar in Barcelona, an ideal dish goose in Hong Kong, supper in a grape plantation outside Melbourne, and early lunch on a porch in São Paulo. Because at the end of the day, when we travel, we travel to eat.

Covid and how to support the locals

While the show was recorded in a pre-COVID world, watchers might be shocked to see how the cafés and food-trucks highlighted still factor into how we eat today.

Notwithstanding, given the staggering difficulties the café business faces, the show will guide the crowd to Eater.com toward the start of every episode in the event that they need to discover more data on the best way to help.
