Rick and Morty Season 5: Dan Harmon gives updates on the series

Rick and Morty Season 5 Updates: Adult Swim has dropped a new episode of Rick and Morty a few months ago and viewers waited over a year for the third season. And then the fourth season suffered a two-year drought. But co-creator Dan Harmon has recently updated fans about the show’s status.

Dan Harmon says the team is on schedule but wonders about whether new episodes suck:

Rick and Morty’s fans were nearly waiting over two years and now the fans got to know that they planned to release new episodes at a quicker pace beginning with the fifth season promised Harmon and co-actor Justin Roiland. Roiland told Entertainment Weekly in 2019 that they were rolling into the next batch.

Harmon already revealed that the writers already started working on season 5 and at the Rick and Morty panel at PaleyFest NY he confirmed that the team has managed to the schedule even amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Harmon told moderator Mike Schneider that they are more on schedule than they’ve ever been. And it kind of makes you have to focus on the whole process when you don’t have this office environment anymore and everyone has to run this bee colony remotely which hopefully means the Rick and Morty season 5 premiere will drop without any delay.

Dan Harmon updates fans on Season 5 and season 6 of Rick and Morty:

In July 2020, Harmon confirmed that the team was busy finalizing the fifth season finale and they were just starting to work on season 6 and also has promised to update about the next two seasons. Harmon hesitated while admitting he’s been mixing up the storylines as they’re working on both season 5 and season 6 at the same time, Harmon told this during PaleyFest NY when the community creator was asked to tease the new Rick and Morty season.

Harmon teases Morty’s new relationship in Rick and Morty season 5:

Harmon leaves the fans with a little teaser about Morty’s character that there’s an episode where Morty has a relationship with another woman that’s not Jessica and he said that it’s just a great little story. It is said that Rick and Morty will premiere on Tuesday, October 27 at 8 p.m.
