The plot of Netflix’s movie What We Wanted

The story of the movie revolves around a couple Alice and Niklas who seem to have everything on the surface. Apparently, they are desperate for a child of their own as they are facing fertility issues so after several failed IVF attempts the couple decides to book a luxury holiday to Sardina in a hope that some time away in the sun will help them to clear their minds.

But their marriage is tested when they are on this vacation to a Sardinian resort and the family next door only adds to the tension who is from Austria and seems to have everything they wished for. Or do they?
