Kominsky Method Season 3 Updates: An American comedy-drama, this television series is distributed by the streaming giant, Netflix. Devised by Chuck Lorre, it hit the screens on November 16, 2018, and upon considering its breadth of success was renewed for the second season after almost a year-long stretch on Oct 25, 2019. It was followed by an announcement in July that the series will have its shutdown with its third run which is yet to premiere.

The former seasons covering 16 episodes in total follows “Sandy Kominsky, the eponymic character who years ago had a brief fling of success as an actor and is now revered a Hollywood acting coach”. Sandy, in the company of his longtime agent Norman Newlander, helms the later stages of life as they tackle the curveballs life throws at them in Los Angeles amidst the evanescent youth.

What do we know about its ultimate season?

The Netflix original stands out for having a strong Hollywood pedigree; programmed by multiple Emmy winner Chuck Lorre, it stars Academy Award winners  Michael Douglas as Kominsky and Alan Arkin as Newlander.

However, reports have it that Alan Arkin will not be making it for the third chapter. Having has his exit ahead of the finale season, the show’s loss of this 86 year-old legendary actor is huge, who had the honor of two Emmy and Golden Globes nomination being bestowed upon him for his very performance in the show.

Apparently, his character of Norman was meant to be written off going by a contract made earlier dictating he would not continue further than S2 that had its release in last year’s fall. The arrival of the third season was not preordained until the second took off and he parted away from the cast before it was even ordered. This was definitely formalized prior to when all the scenarios were toppled over by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The threequel has been underway for months now but Netflix’s threaded notifications only disposed towards the executive producers’ list with no information of the cast whatsoever. Showrunner Lorre stated at the time of the renewal’s communique  “The Kominsky Method has been a true passion project for me and it’s been an incredible experience to see the warm response from both audiences and critics.
