Coming to know all these, Ben was killed and removed from the picture of wicked lawyer Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer) and hitman Nelson (Nelson Bonilla), and Wendy was totally had the knowledge of what was going on.

Ruth after knowing all these could not continue working with Marty and Wendy any longer. After relying so heavily on the Byrdes, Ruth was now in need of a place to set herself in complete tranquility. Finding complete solace, she rested with Darlene. Darlene previously was in a romantic relationship with Ruth’s cousin Wyatt (Charlie Tahan).

The  Byrdes have done all that quite possible so as to get Ruth to hate them. She killed her uncles.  Presently, Wyatt had developed many problems with her. Marty needed to be protected. They even had Ruth’s dad murdered.

Wendy also murdered her brother, with whom Ruth was in love. Ruth lost everybody she could possibly love. The new season probably would start with Ruth totally operative of the Snells.

Somewhere in the middle, we see Marty convincing Ruth that he was wrong and also that, he spoilt her life. By the ending of the final episode, we would be seeing that Ruth and Byrdes would reconcile.
