Tatsuya Shiba is the protagonist of the show and Miyuki is his sister. They take admission to First High School which is one of the specialized magic high schools in Japan.
Here, the students are divided into course 1 and course 2 according to their abilities as magicians. Students of course 1 are blooming and bright. However, students of course 2 are categorized as weeds.
