F Is for Family Season 5 has received a green light from Netflix, but unfortunately, it will be the final season of the animated comedy series. F Is for Family is an American comedy series created by Bill Burr and Michael Price. The show premiered on December 8, 2015. The series got renewed for the last season in October 2020; let’s see what we know about the upcoming season.
F Is for Family is inspired by the childhood of the comedian Bill Burr. The story follows an Irish-American family residing in a fictional town of Rustvale, Pennsylvania around, the mid-970s. The cast includes Laura Dern, Justin Long, Debi Derryberry, Haley Reinhart, Mo Collins, Trevor Devall, Sam Rockwell, Phil Hendrie, and Kevin Michael Richardson.
Burr, in an interview, said, “Thank You to all the fans that watched this show. Thanks to Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsley, Victoria Vaughn, Ted Sarandos, and the incredible writers, performers, animators, editors, and musicians that made this show happen. Special thanks to the captain of the ship: the great Mike Price! I love you guys”.
Price mentioned, “Working on this so show with the great Bill Burr, Vince Vaughn, and our amazing cast, writers, producers, and crew has been the greatest joy of my life, and I’m thrilled that we get to do one more season with the Murphys. I’ll be forever grateful to everyone at Netflix, Gaumont, and Wild West who let us share this stressed-out, foul-mouthed and loving family with the world”.
Netflix has not announced any release date for the series yet, but F Is for Family is expected to be premiered on Netflix in 2021. If the series does not face any delay due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, then the series will be released in the latter half of next year.
The first season of the show was released in December 2015, second in May 2017, third in November 2018, and fourth in June 2020. The next season will be o a swing in 2021.
