American Gods Season 3 Updates: An American fantasy thriller, this series is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s 2011 novel of the same name. Directed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, its first season marked its release on April 30, 2017, on Amazon prime video before converging into its second.
It went down for several nominations including Emmys’ and Critics ‘ Choice Awards for its outstanding enactment and visual designs.
Recently a trailer has been launched for the third season, giving off some possible hints about the continuation of the plot.
American Gods Season 3 Plot
Upon his wife’s passing away, convict Shadow Moon is bailed out of the jail only to mourn her untimely demise. On his way home, a set of events leaves him adrift as he comes in contact with an unknown Mr. Wednesday.
Recursively offering him a job as his bodyguard, Shadow on accepting it confronts an unrealistic world of magic and where Old mythological Gods’ are superseded by the growing power of the New ones; Technology and Media.
With Mr.Wednesday attempts in uniting the Gods to forge their lost existence and influence, leaves Shadow striving to fit into this new world and be acceptant of his place in it.
As described in the trailer, this third revival will encase details of Shadow’s whereabouts as he being fed-up escapes from this ridiculous world and relocates to a bucolic setting along a Wisconsin lake; to live a life on his own, devoted to his gods, the Orishas.

American Gods Season 3 Cast
Starting with Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, it also stars Ian McShane as Mr.Wednesday; a con-man and God Odin, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Crispin Glover as Mr. World, Bruce Langley as the Technical/Quantum Boy, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis; a goddess of Love, Mousa Kraish as the Jinn; the mythic body of fire, Omid Abtahi as Salim; one half of a pair of star-crossed lovers and lot of other names covering the diverse characters and Ashley Reyes joining the cast this season.
When is it about to release?
The 3rd season is off for an early 2021 release on Amazon Prime Video which has added many premieres of famous flicks to its line-up this month.
