The film is expected to be released several months ahead of the due date. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss starer was set to open on April 1, 2022, but now it is to be aired on December 22, 2021. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jonathan Groff are new additions to the sci-fi thriller.

Warner Bros. stated that the pandemic put the movie production to a halt in mid-March, they were forced to push back the release date.

As per the reports, Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ is no longer premiering on December 18, instead, the date has been shifted to October 1, 2020. This date was previously held by The Batman. Several Hollywood movies were deprived to shoot due to the shutdown, but the green signal has been given for shooting after the situation is controlled.

Another reason for The Batman to stop the shooting was, Robert Pattinson was tested positive for Coronavirus while shooting in the United Kingdom. He was permitted to resume his work from September end. On the other hand, the Matrix sequel completed it’s shooting earlier than the expected time.

Some major hits are still planned to be released in 2020 that includes Wonder Woman 1984, Free Guy, and Soul. All these films are scheduled to be released in December this year.
