Fast & Furious 9 Updates: It’s no secret that the Fast and Furious franchise has become one of the biggest and most successful franchises of the movie world in the previous years. Although the franchise seems to have added a lot of content to their libraries such as spinoffs and animated shows, undoubtedly the mainstream movies still stand out to be the fan-favorite.
After the ninth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise dropped its first-ever trailer at the year’s beginning, it started gathering the fans’ interest for it’s April 2021 release instantly but we know how fast the world came to a halt after that.
Fast & Furious 9: Updates
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, numerous shootings and releases of series and movies were delayed F9 being no exception. The film was supposed to be released in April 2021 but due to inevitable reasons, had to be delayed.
The recent release date is May 28, 2021. Although, after the long delay an additional 8 weeks should not upset fans much. The reason for the release delay is that Universal, MGM, and Eon have given the April F9’s release date to ‘No Time To Die’.
Talking about how the new May release date would hamper other movies’ release, we know Mark Wahlberg’s action movie ‘Infinite’ was supposed to hit the big screen on May 28 2021 though it does not seem wise to put it up against a Fast and Furious installment.
Disney’s ‘Cruella’ starring Emma Stone was also set to release on the same date but it could create problems at the box office. It will be wise to move the dates to suit the circumstances.
With not only the return of Han but also the feature of Dom’s brother Jakob, played by none other than John Cena, F9 should be worth all the wait. We also know that F9 is going to space. So, with a storyline as crazy as this and an action staring the best, the wait does not seem much of a problem for the fans.
