As Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, he drove that CBS sitcom to twelve fruitful seasons. So it’s difficult to accept the nearly handled a totally unique part of How I Met Your Mother. The character of a TV show can break or make the show. The right match of the role of a performer can result in pure magic if the producers find them.

Jim Parsons featured on ‘The Big Bang Theory’ for 12 seasons

Before handling the Sheldon Part, fans most likely realized Parsons best for his supporting turn in Zach Braff’s 2004 film Garden State and a seven-scene bend on Judging Amy. However, fans truly reacted to Parsons’ Emmy-winning turn as the geeky character on The Big Bang Theory.

Truth be told, the actor had the option to parlay the part into another gig as executive producer and storyteller for the side project arrangement Young Sheldon. While The Big Bang Theory finished its 12-season run in 2019, its prequel stays a strong hit. CBS has just recharged Young Sheldon for season 4.

“The fascinating thing about this is that I was auditioned for Barney’s role, and felt I was not right for it, and nearly ran shouting from the room after I was auditioned,” Parsons said. “Like, ‘Well I did that and I don’t have a clue why.’ They really made me return, as though they were intrigued. Not intrigued enough, in light of the fact that the ideal individual got that part, Neil Patrick Harris.”

During a similar The Late Show appearance, Parsons responded to a fan hypothesis interfacing Sheldon Cooper and Barney Stinson. As some The Big Bang Theory fans called attention to, the two characters are so fiercely extraordinary. Yet, is Sheldon really Barney from a contrary measurement?

“I find this captivating I have this freeish connection with this part. Also, you have this hypothesis — that is false — however you have that hypothesis by any stretch of the imagination,” Parsons said. “Maybe I’m giving that vibe off. Possibly underneath this character, I’ve been playing is a furious horndog and a womanizer.”
