Call the Midwife Series 10 Updates: Call the Midwife just becomes a Christmas custom on television screens. The good news we are coming through is this custom will be followed this year too. Series nine of the show meets it’s conclusion this year in February.
Just after the end of the series nine, the crew was ready for the production of the furthure season. But that time filming and production processes were postponed due to a global pandemic and worldwide lockdown. Then good news again arrives in August regarding the restart of the filming processes.
Call The Midwife Series 10 Release Date :
So according to the official announcement and updates available. There will be a 90-minute premiere of series 10 on Christmas day i.e 25 December 2020. The main series will start somewhere in early 2021.
Impacts of Corona pandemic on the show :
After the conclusion of series nine, everyone was expecting for a soon release of series 10. But in march 2020 due to the Corona pandemic, the production of furthure episodes was postponed. Executive producer Dame Pippa Harris on his Facebook page posts .”Very sadly, we have to postpone filming of this year’s Call the Midwife Christmas special.
Our priority is the safety of our amazing cast and crew. We do not believe the shooting in the current situation is feasible or responsible. However, the moment it improves the nuns and nurses will be back on their bikes. And bringing babies into this world and joy into livings .” In August 2020 after five months of no work the cast and crew returns for the shoot.
Proper safety precautions and screening methods on the set are musts. Recently Heidi Thomas again declares on his Facebook page. “Everyone is overjoyed to be whisking back to filming after lockdown.
It is perticular a thrill to be able to deliver the Christmas special on time. We all are a family at Call the Midwife and everybody missed each other. We will be putting more love and energy into our works than ever. And cannot wait to share series 10 with our loyal audience .”
Plot or Storyline Details of Series 10 :
The coming episodes of the show will be set in 1966. But exact information regarding the plot is under wraps till now. Expectations are there may be some story regarding England winning the world cup. Maybe snap general elections in which the labor party won. This time there will be only seven episodes instead of eight .
