Chris Hemsworth to Star in Netflix’s Spiderhead

Spiderhead Updates: An upcoming Netflix original, “Spiderhead” is directed by Joseph Kosinski. The script of the film is given by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, best known for their works like Deadpool, Underground, and Zombie land.

Spiderhead is adapted from a short story by George Saunders. Netflix set an absolutely amazing cast for the film including Chris Hemsworth, Jurnee Smollett, and Miles Teller.

This trio has been a part of various blockbusters while leaving a deep impression on the viewers. Chris Hemsworth starred in Extraction which is also a Netflix original. Not only this but this action-based film, Extraction became the most ever watched Netflix feature. Netflix is also starting to prepare its next sequel.

Spiderhead: Who’ll be in the Cast?

On the other hand, we saw Jurnee Smollett in Lovecraft Country. In her most recent work Underground, she was in the lead cast and she also co-starred in Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey.

As for Miles Teller, he has previously worked with Kosinki in the film Top Gun: Maverick which is yet to be released. The movie stars Tom Cruise and Miles Teller. Teller also worked in Whiplash and Only the Brave.

Possible Plot

The story is a sci-fi, prison flick set in a near-future where the prisoners can choose to be guinea pigs in order to get slack in their sentence. It focuses on two prisoners who take their chances and agree to be test patients for emotion-altering drugs.

Eric Newman will be producing the film for Screen Arcade. While, Chris Hemsworth, Geneva Wasserman, and Oren Katzeff will be producing it for The New York Studios. The production team also includes Jeremy Stickler, Reese & Wernick, and Tony Harper.
