Legacies Season 3 Updates: Created by Julie Plec, Legacies is a spin-off series of ‘The Originals’ and has characters from ‘The Vampire Diaries’ too. It is categorized in fantasy, drama and supernatural genres. Legacies is an American television series premiered in October 2018 by The CW. The first two seasons of Legacies had 16 episodes each and were created in English language. The series has viewers of comparatively younger section. In January 2020, The CW announced the renewal of the series for third season.

What we know so far about Legacies Season 3

The story follows characters with powerful witch, vampire and werewolf blood lines. By the end of the second season Landon is dead and his best friend, Rafael is made a dead-puppet. While Hope is still trapped in her best friend Josie’s subconscious and fails to regain consciousness in real world. As it is a Julie Palec show there will be rewriting of mythology for sure. Landon being a part phoenix might come back to life but that is not for sure as this time Necromander gave a special blade to the puppet Rafael to ensure Landon’s death.

Who will be in the Season?

Legacies Season 3 will retain the previous cast including Danielle Rose Russell as Hope (who was introduced in ‘The Originals’) , Aria Shahghasemi aka Landon (introduced in ‘The Originals’ and Hope’s boyfriend) , Matt Davis as Alaric (introduced in ‘The Vampire Diaries and father of Saltzman sisters) , Kylie Bryant as Josie (introduced in ‘The Vampire Diaries’, a witch and Hope’s best friend) and Jenny Boyd as Lizzie (introduced in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and Josie’s sister).

Is there any Release Date?

Most of the shows are delayed this year. The CW announced the release of the next season of Legacies sometime in 2020 but due to the sudden Covid – 19 pandemic it got delayed. Now, fans have to wait till 2021 for the series to get released. It is also rumoured to be the second last season but one should not take those rumours into account as there is no official statement about it. We will make sure to update for the same so, stay tuned!
